Lia told us on Monday that she and Mike are getting married. They plan small wedding in March on Maui. We are very happy to hear the news. Beth and I plan to throw a big party in the summer in Chicago.

Martha, hope your doing well
I'm sure it's been tough, being that you are very active, and want to be part of every aspect of everything. But I know you'll find a way to still be an active part of everything, even if it's telling Rob, Kodo, Ally and Elizabeth what to do.
So we had a very nice Thanksgiving with the Coudal's and with Jim's side of the family. As well as Pete and Shana, with Kasper who is nothing but laughter and he's a big ball of energy. We had a big turkey, and all of the sidings, it was a great time.
Anyone else do anything exciting over Thanksgiving? We are very excited about the next few months of things to come. Hope to see everyone soon

Hi Family
I wanted to add something, and say Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am working on some great projects and keeping busy with life, family and friends. Things are good here in the midwest, it's getting cold, but we have had this very (Global Warming) weird warm stretch, hmm. I am living in a new area of Chicago, Lincoln Park, I'd love to have some of the Cali folk come out and visit sometime soon. Anyway, miss you all, hope to see you soon.

Welcome to the Elder Family Blog
Hi All!
In our busy lives it can be hard for us to find time to connect with the friends and family we love. This blog will is a hopeful attempt to connect the large and extended network of family and friends of the late Jack and Kay Elder.
Jack and Kaye Elder were the hub of family contact and when I wanted to tell the whole family something I just had tell grandma Kaye. When you needed to find out how aunt, cousin or niece was doing just ask grandma Kaye. It's been many years since Jack and Kaye left their bodies and I often wonder about goings on in the lives of a cousin, uncles and friends. To be honest I'm not that good at picking up the phone and not everyone has time chat.
The purpose of this blog is simple. Visit when you want to see if anything new is going on. Login when you have something to say, inform, illiterate. Easy, efficient, functional. Check the blog when you want, add to the blog when you can. Hopefully we can stay in closer contact whether it's a thousand miles or just a conflicting schedule the keeps up apart.
Cheers!
